Often when i am travelling alone, which lasts more than an hour, i am in the company of my solitude, i ponder as to what is it that we are running after, each day is a fight, a fight that begins even before the sun rises and continues after sunset. For millions on this planet life is merely a monotonous, mundane and never ending process of waking up, doing your daily chores, waiting for the public transport to arrive, hop onto the first one that arrives so that you can reach work on time, start your work, meet colleagues, bitch about them, sad that they have excelled in their respective areas of expertise, whereas you sit back and sulk rather than doing something about it, have lunch, sip coffee, head back home post work hours, reach your home and dine and go back to sleep.
This goes on like a never ending process, no meaning to life, loads of complications, ever so towering demands , aspirations and no end to misery. All we do is complain that something or the other is not right, envy friends, family who are doing good for themselves. where is the happiness gone, why is it difficult to find happiness in small things, why is the desire for monetary satisfaction growing at an exponential rate, our ego is bigger than our age, we have zero tolerance level and no patience at all.
No amount of spiritual upliftment is coming to a rescue. We whine, cry, deceive people, plot, bitch around, and vent out our anger with the usage of venomous dialect to be at peace with oneself. Any amount of benevolent deed is of little help.
Probably solitary confinement would be a solution to all of these satanic actions. Answer to one's inhumane wrong doings. But the question is, will it cleanse the soul?? Will it make us happy and emerge as supreme among all living species?? I do not know...
